ABOUT ME
Hülya Kilicaslan (1977) studied painting and photography at the Art Academy Constantijn Huygens, photo-journalism at the School for Journalism and direction at the Media Academy.
She is drawn towards the creative side of photography, rather than the technical side. Throughout the years she has developed an artistic style in which she strives for the pure, intimate and unposed portrait. Composition is of great significance in her work, and her style is characterized by a certain rawness. She has the ability to blend in, to be invisible, thereby being able to aim her lens without compromising the situation.
Her freelance work has been published in Dutch media outlets and she was strongly involved in the realization of several cd-sleeves and various campaigns. In addition to being a photographer, she participates in teaching workshops to share her love of photography with a new generation of talent.
